The Right to Participate.

You have a right and responsibility to participate in identifying and correcting job-related health and safety concerns. Community Living Guelph-Wellington (CLGW) employs over 300 employees which federally requires CLGW to have a health & safety policy committee. You can also participate through the use of an internal complaint resolution process.

The Right to Refuse unsafe work.

 You have the right to refuse dangerous work if there is reasonable cause to believe that: 

• A condition exists at work that presents a danger to himself or herself;

• The use or operation of a machine or thing presents a danger to the employee or co-worker; or 

• The performance of an activity constitutes a danger to the employee or to another employee.
